Fifty four words put P first and A third, and three blends take almost all of them. The second box is a choice between L, E and R.
L takes the second box in eighteen words, E in fifteen and R in fourteen. Together that is forty seven of the fifty four, and nothing else reaches more than three.
PLACE, PLAIN, PLANE, PLANT and PLATE are the ordinary words in the largest branch, and PLAYS, PLANS and PLAID sit alongside them. It is the richest part of the page.
PLANE, PLANK, PLANS and PLANT differ only in the last box. PLACE and PLACK do the same, as do PLATE, PLATS and PLATY. Landing inside PLA tells you three letters and then leaves you exactly where you started on the other two.
S closes fifteen of the fifty four, twenty eight percent, and E another twelve. Between them they take twenty seven of the page, so the last box is worth pinning down before you work the second.
Both are common and they differ in two boxes. PLANT also tests N in the fourth box, which more words here take than any other letter.
Yes, it runs P, S, A, L, M. The silent P and the lone S in the second box make it easy to forget.
Very little. H takes three words giving PHASE and PHAGE, and PIANO, POACH and PSALM are close to the whole remainder.
