One hundred thirty words carry O second and N third, one of the largest groups anywhere on this site.
MONEY, MONTH, SONGS, BONUS and HONOR are the most common. BONDS, TONES, FONTS, TONER and CONES all come up constantly.
E takes the fourth box in twenty eight of the one hundred thirty and G takes nineteen, with D on fifteen. BONES, BONGS and BONDS show the three shapes.
CONGA, CONGE, CONGO, DONGA, BONGO and GONGS all sit in the G branch, and most of them came into English from elsewhere. It is a noticeably more international corner than the rest of the page.
S closes thirty five of the one hundred thirty, Y closes seventeen and E closes sixteen. Those endings dominate the back of the word.
With a group this size no single guess narrows much. The efficient move is to test two or three common endings at once rather than hunt for the opening letter.
C opens eighteen of the one hundred thirty and M opens fourteen, but nineteen letters appear in that box. The front of an ON word is genuinely wide open.
MONTH tests the T and H, which almost nothing else here uses. MONEY sits in the busy E branch and rules out less.
A Buddhist monk, especially in Japan or China. It ends in E without belonging to the ONE shape.
Donna is a title for an Italian woman and donne is a plural form of the same. Both double the N and split at the last box.
Unlucky or sickly, in Scots. It is dialect vocabulary and rarely met outside word lists.
