Twenty words put K first and O third, and half of them open with a silent K. That one fact does most of the work on this page.
N takes the second box in ten of the twenty, fifty percent. KNOWS, KNOTS, KNOCK and KNOLL all come from it, and in every one of them the K is not pronounced at all.
English has a small fixed set of KN words and nearly all of them are short. Put O in the third box and you catch most of that set at once.
R follows well behind on three words, giving KRONA, KRONE and KROON. L and O take two each, and after that every letter appears once.
So the second box is really a question of whether it is N or not. If it is not, what remains is short enough to read.
S ends six of these, thirty percent. Five words repeat a letter, and KOOKS, KOOKY and KNOLL are where those come from. KIOSK is the one word here most people would reach for first, and it sits outside every branch described above.
Only in the KN branch, which is ten of the twenty. KIOSK, KRONA and KOOKS all pronounce it normally.
Both are currency names and both are on this list, along with KROON. They differ only in the last box.
A steep sided ravine. It is one of the two words here with L in the second box, and not one you would guess unprompted.
