Only eight words put S first and S third, and half of them repeat a letter. This is one of the smallest patterns in the family.
Putting an S in the first box is easy and putting another in the third is not. A and I take the second box in three words each, with E and U taking one apiece.
S also fills the fourth box in four of the eight, which is where the repeats come from. SASSE, SASSY, SESSA and SISSY all carry a doubled S.
SISAL and SUSHI are the two here you would meet in ordinary use. SASSY is reachable. SISSY is a word most people know but would not think to try on this pattern.
They differ in the second and fourth boxes and both end in Y. Y closes two of the eight, more than any other letter on a page this short.
SASIN and SESSA are the remaining entries and neither is vocabulary you would produce.
With eight words there is no distribution worth acting on. Read the list against whatever boxes you have confirmed.
SUSHI is the outlier worth trying first, since it is the only entry with U in the second box and H in the fourth.
Yes. It is common, and its second and fourth letters appear nowhere else on the page, so it either wins or eliminates a lot.
They share their first three letters but nothing else. SISES is a dice throw of sixes and SISAL is a plant fibre.
Two of the eight do, which is a large share. SASSY and SISSY are both adjectives built on a doubled S stem.
